FYI
Cash only, (or certain Chinese debit cards)
Take out containers cost extra
ask for water/tea, not offered.
Fast service, towards the end of the meal I and my companion were being rushed out, The restaurant was practically empty and was about to start doing it's dimsum menu..so wtf
Exact change not given (pocketing.)
For whatever reason the cashier (language barrier?) When we were paying the bill, said nothing rhen took our bill to the hostess/manager.
pointing to the bottom of the receipt reminding us to tip our server. ...GFY. Maybe ask how our meal was?....was everything alright?
All that being said the food we ordered was good, typical BS such as the mentioned above erodes at the experince. .
Will we be back? Certainly -

Instead of our weekend dimsum ritual, my parents decided to do a quick lunch at Neptune noodle house. This restaurant is situated next to their sister restaurant (Neptune Seafood)
For lunch, we decided on the 3 item combo for around $26. You get to choose a dim sum item (hargow, siu mai, bbq pork bun - the basics), a congee and a fried rice or noodle. We ordered the steamed bbq pork buns, fresh fish congee and sweet/sour xiamen noodles (廈門炒米). We also ordered a siu mai on the side.
The portions are pretty good, for the 3 of us, the combo would be enough. Everything tasted good; great value for the combo. The fried noodles were on a smaller plate but still decent size. If we were to order these 3 items at their sister restaurant next door, it would've been a $40 meal.
I'm giving a 3.5 stars - the service wasn't great but the food was still good (they brought us the wrong noodles and commented that what we ordered didn't exist in the menu, which wasn't true). -

I've had a bad experience eating in at this restaurant from their terrible service, but recently I buy take outs from here for their congees and rice dumplings and I would say it's pretty tasty for the most part. Their desserts are terrible though, I had to dump most of it due to how bad they taste and that is very difficult for someone who hates wasting food! For eat ins I give 2/5, for take outs I give 3/5. Would've given 4/5 stars if the desserts weren't so bad!

This was what I would expect a wonton house would be like with a pretty extensive, but simple menu option. They serve many variations of wonton noodles here plus a few other dishes. I had the congee with with minced pork and thousand year egg. It was very tasty and the portion size was adequate. The congee had a good consistency with it being not too watery or too thick with the rice cooked down just right. My wife and I also shared the black sesame dessert which I thought was only ok as it could've used more sesame paste to enhance the flavor plus also a bit more sugar.
My only big gripe about here is the service. It was slow to get any of the waitresses to come around until you had to wave them down. We had to wait for awhile before we could have our order written down and also they also forgot our dessert order at the end of the meal. At the end we just asked them for our check and quickly paid at the counter instead of waiting around again for them to bring back our change.
Wish the service could be way better, but the food here was good and came pretty quick. I would come again to give them another chance. -

had brunch here the day with the family ....part of the neptune group so had high expectations...
ordered a couple of orders of the lunch combo for 2. each set combo for 2, you get to pick a congee, then a dimsum snack, then a of fried noodles.
i ordered the chicken and mushroom congee, siu mai, and beef fried ho fan noodles..for dessert, mango pudding of course..me and my son shared this combo while the wife ordered her classic duck on rice.
the congee was amazing. silky smooth and packed full of flavour. chicken was well cooked and its essence was fully absorbed by the congee. nice fresh mushroom pieces too. the siu mainl was plump and juicy. loaded with fish eggs too for that extra bite. the beef hofan came pipping hot, but was too oily. you can literally see the noodles drowning in the sauce. the mango pudding was fresh as well. silky smooth with just the right touch of sweetness to cleanse and tantalize the palates.
the let down of the day was the duck on rice. the duck tasted meh. meat was stringy and the bird was served covered in soy sauce. you couldnt enjoy the duck as much anymore. my best guess is that the duck was old, just heated up, then drenched in sauce to give it more flavour, but ended up destroying the dish. lol
anyhow, will be back to try the other stuff.
cheers! happy eating!
